Register with Us

Registering is easy

It is important that people new to the area register with us when they arrive so that we can request their medical records so that we have these to hand, in the event they need to be seen or need repeat medications.

Before filling out a registration form, check you are in our catchment area.

You can complete the registration online or you can pop into the practice and we will give you the forms to complete.

When you register, it’s helpful to have your NHS number. You can use the NHS website to Find your NHS number.

Text messaging service

When you register as a new patient, you will automatically opt in to our text service and you will receive your first text when you make your first routine appointment.

Practice staff will also use this service to inform you of normal test results and you may also receive health promotion information or reminders to book in for medication reviews etc.

If you would like to opt out of this service, please inform reception staff.

Change of details

Please inform us of any change in name, address or telephone numbers so that we have the correct information held on your medical record.

Temporary Patient Registrations

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you may be able to receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for up to 14 days. Please contact your own practice first - there any many conditions that can be supported over the phone and prescriptions can be sent electronically to any pharmacy in England. If you need to be seen by a GP locally first check which is the nearest practice to where you are staying:

To register as a temporary patient, contact the local practice. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient if you are visiting from outside of England, if you are you need to attend the nearest Urgent Treatment Centre.
